Open Networking
Please arrive no later than 8 am; a few minutes earlier is even better, so you can get your bearings (and make any adjustments if this is an online meeting). The meeting lasts from 8:00-9:30 am and people also have the opportunity to mingle afterwards.
Open networking for about 10 minutes.
After networking time is over, we make introductions, get warmed up, and then the 60-second presentations start. Each member does a 60-second presentation on one aspect of their business. (If you are a substitute for a Central Vermont BNI member, you will speak on their behalf for 60 seconds as well.)
Once the members have presented, then each visitor, including you, will get to make a 60-second presentation about your business to the group.
We do a little accountability, and then we break up into “Power” 1-2-1 meetings, where each pairing or group focuses on how to generate referrals for one another. This lasts for 10 minutes.
After our “Power” breakouts conclude, there will be a 10-12 minute Feature Presentation from one of our members about their business (this is where one member gets to educate us with a deep dive into one aspect of their business).
We all then will have the opportunity to talk about referrals and business revenue that we have received because of our BNI connections and networking efforts.
Join our email list to learn about all we are doing.
LOCATION: We meet at 8:00 am, Thursday, in the Hayes Room of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier. The address is 135 Main Street, Montpelier, VT 05602.
The entrance to the Hayes Room is at the back side of the library, off of School Street. There is a single flight of stairs to climb, but there is an elevator.
PARKING: There is both free and paid parking (the ParkMobile app works great) on the streets near and surrounding the library. Parking on much of School Street is free (but it’s a competitive zone after 7:30 on school mornings). There is free street parking within a 5-minute walk (St. Paul and Loomis Street), but in the winter (Nov-Apr) you need to be careful on which side of the street you park (Montpelier uses alternate side of street parking; look for the signs). The parking lots surrounding the library are all private.
